ICT forms the backbone of the company, all the company users and resources depend on the ICT to work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days in the year. Buying the best software and the best equipment is not enough to accomplish this. Somebody has to make sure it works all the time. That is when the IT professional comes in. He, or she, will take care of that, with skills and knowledge the normal person never heard of, and talking a language only other IT persons understand.

Sometimes, an IT department doesn't run smoothly. Your IT people are only chasing problems without able to solve the root cause. Or your IT department is under stress because the guy who knows everything is leaving the company. Or you have a project to run but are missing knowledge and manpower.
